Getting Started with ArcGIS Online
Learn the basic principles of geographic information systems (GIS) and make your own map! This workshop will introduce the fundamental skills of geospatial visualization using ArcGIS online. This is an in-person only workshop offered at Homer Babbidge Library at the UConn Storrs campus. This workshop includes:
- An overview of the fundamentals of GIS, spatial analysis, and visualization.
- A demonstration of ArcGIS Online, including how to add layers, modify symbology, and filter data.
- Resources for learning more about GIS at UConn.
- A self-guided tutorial for making maps using ArcGIS Online, and tutorial lab time.
