Digital Storytelling with ArcGIS StoryMaps

Learn how to make interactive digital stories about places using ArcGIS StoryMaps. StoryMaps is an ESRI web application that combines several different types of media with mapping tools to create dynamic spatial stories. This workshop will introduce:

The basics of digital spatial storytelling. Building StoryMaps using ArcGIS StoryMaps. The various types of mapping tools that can be used in StoryMaps.

Participants will also be given time at the end of the workshop to work though a self-guided StoryMap tutorial about the city of Waterbury, CT. While familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information System) tools is not required, please check out the UConn Library GIS Guide at s.uconn.edu/GISguide before attending if you have not worked with GIS tools before. This is an in-person workshop offered at Homer Babbidge library at the Storrs campus.
